Data Analyst II- DIG team
We are seeking a Data Analyst II to join our Data organization, with a strong focus on data privacy and Data Subject Request (DSR) operations. This role will be instrumental in ensuring that Fanatics Betting & Gaming meets evolving privacy requirements by enabling accurate, timely, and compliant handling of sensitive user data.
Responsibilities
- Support end‑to‑end execution of Data Subject Requests (DSRs) including data identification, extraction, validation, and deletion workflows.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to locate, validate, and reconcile PII across multiple systems and data sources.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Engineering teams to translate privacy requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) into scalable data processes.
- Ensure accurate identification and handling of sensitive data, including validating completeness of DSR responses and deletions.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in DSR processing, including mismatches across systems or incomplete data removals.
- Build and maintain datasets, queries, and workflows that support privacy operations and audit readiness.
- Assist in defining and improving processes for data deletion, retention, and access controls.
- Contribute to documentation of data flows, system dependencies, and privacy‑related logic.
- Support audits and compliance reviews by providing data validation, traceability, and supporting analysis.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to improve data accessibility while maintaining privacy safeguards.
- Flex across team priorities, contributing to broader data initiatives including data quality, reporting, and operational support as needed.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong SQL skills with experience querying large, complex datasets across multiple systems.
- Hands‑on experience with data privacy operations, particularly DSRs (access, deletion, or correction requests).
- Understanding of privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, and how they apply to data workflows.
- Experience working with PII and sensitive data, including best practices for handling, masking, and validation.
- Proven ability to trace data across systems and understand end‑to‑end data flows.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve data issues independently.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing needs.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Salary Range: £41,800 – £52,800 UK per year
