Job Title: Demand Planner, North America

Contract Type: Full time, permanent, with US hours coverage

Location: Nottingham (hybrid)

Reports to: Demand Planning Manager

Position Overview

The Demand Planner, North America owns the demand plan across the region. This role sits at the centre of commercial and operations, turning data into clear actions and aligning Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply to one number.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining a robust SKU-level forecast, ensuring it reflects real commercial activity, risks, and opportunities. You will review performance weekly, challenge assumptions, and adjust the plan to keep it accurate and actionable.

Success in this role comes from strong data analysis, clear communication, and the ability to influence stakeholders. You will play a key role in improving forecast accuracy, reducing risk, and ensuring stock availability across North America.

Key Responsibilities

You will own the North America demand forecast at SKU and customer level, maintaining a rolling 12 to 18 month view that is updated weekly. You will lead regular demand reviews with regional stakeholders, ensuring alignment across Sales, Marketing, and Finance, and driving one clear, agreed plan.

You will analyse performance against forecast, identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities early. You will take ownership of actions to close gaps and ensure plans remain realistic and achievable.

You will partner closely with retailer planning teams, bringing insight, challenging inconsistencies, and improving the quality of forecast inputs. Internally, you will translate demand into clear signals for Supply Planning, ensuring the plan reflects constraints, launches, and promotional activity.

You will own and report on key demand KPIs, including forecast accuracy, bias, and sales versus plan.

You will also lead post-event analysis on launches and promotions, feeding learnings back into future forecasts.

Alongside this, you will drive improvements in ways of working, including the adoption of planning tools such as FuturMaster, improving data quality, and reducing manual processes.

Requirements

You will have 5 to 6 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or commercial analytics, ideally within beauty or FMCG.

You bring strong analytical skills and are confident working with large data sets. Advanced Excel is required, and experience with forecasting tools such as FuturMaster is preferred.

You have a track record of improving forecast accuracy and planning processes, and you are comfortable challenging stakeholders using data. You are able to manage multiple priorities, work at pace, and operate effectively across cross-functional teams.

What Good Looks Like

Success in this role means delivering one aligned demand plan across North America, with improving forecast accuracy and clear visibility of risks and opportunities.

You will build strong alignment between Demand and Supply, ensure consistent and reliable reporting, and support effective decision-making through S&OP.
