An exciting opportunity has arisen for a TRANSPORT PLANNER working within the rapidly expanding Irish Distribution company based in WARRINGTON.
We are looking for a proactive and driven Transport Planner who is eager to go beyond the basics and play a key role in our wider operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys taking ownership, and wants to grow within a fast‑paced, expanding business.

Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of route efficiency, leading reviews and ensuring compliance to optimise van/LGV schedules and 3PL usage
- Plan and coordinate daily transport routes to ensure smooth operations
- Maximise efficiency and cost‑effectiveness across all vehicle movements
- Communicate clearly with drivers and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery execution
- Monitor deliveries in real‑time and resolve issues quickly and effectively
- Proactively reduce missed time slots and late deliveries
- Support warehouse and operational activities when required
- Assist other departments during peak periods
- Participate in cross‑training to develop a broad understanding of the business
Skills & Experience
- Previous transport planning experience is essential
- Strong geographical awareness is an advantage
- Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to work across teams
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Self‑motivated with the ability to use initiative
- Positive attitude with a genuine desire to learn, grow, and develop
What We Offer
- Competitive salary of £30,000 – £32,000
- Quarterly bonus scheme (after successful completion of 6‑month probation)
