Overview
Candour Talent is recruiting a Furnace Manager to join their client’s team in Ebbw Vale.
Employment Type: Full Time/Permanent
Working Hours: Mon-Fri – Days
Salary: £50k
The successful candidate will oversee the operational performance over multiple shifts, be key in driving process improvements, and be an integral part of the leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day‑to‑day running of high‑capacity furnaces across multiple shifts
- Ensure output and performance targets are met, and monitor performance to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity
- Lead and motivate an established team of operators and team leaders
- Manage workforce allocation
- Work with the wider team on projects and drive process improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience managing industrial furnaces or similar
- Proven leadership skills, ideally in a multi‑shift industrial environment
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely, ensuring information is passed on accurately
- Excellent understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
