LJMU are seeking an experienced professional for the position of Procurement Manager.

Responsibilities

• Working directly with the Head of Procurement you will have a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring cost effective purchasing, managing internal and external relationships, and ensuring adherence to Financial Regulations.
• Work within the wider Finance Function, and in partnership with academic, technical and professional services staff, as part of the central procurement function at LJMU.
• Lead on procurement projects for goods and services as allocated, being responsible for the preparation and delivery of all stages of the procurement cycle.
• Aim at ensuring continuity of supply, delivering value for money, influencing the wider impact of procurement and the sustainability/reduction in scope 3 carbon emissions.
• Manage commercial and legislative risk relating to Procurement. Be a key contact for individual faculties and departments, responsible for providing procurement advice, guidance and training on LJMU systems (e-procurement, e-tendering and procurement cards).
