Prospectus is pleased to be supporting a well known national organisation who support young care leavers or young people who may have left a challenging home environment, in building their independence. This vibrant charity is renowned for provision of high quality, secure, and affordable accommodation as well as empowering and supporting young people to build their way to adulthood with confidence.
Responsibilities
- The Housing Support Manager will manage a team of 7 key workers who in turn manage a small case load for their clients.
- Manage and ensure compliance within the Housing Support Act (2023) as well as manage support service contracts to achieve goals, targets and contract obligations, including regular report writing and meetings.
- Oversee and maintain ambitions standards to health and safety, safeguarding, fire safety and resident well-being.
- Report to the Head of Housing and lead the delivery of this crucial service, requiring experience with vulnerable individuals and the support services required to ensure tailored support to sustain tenancies, improve well-being, and progress towards independent living.
Qualifications and requirements
- A candidate who holds a CIH level 4 or equivalent is preferred; if not held, there is an expectation to complete this within 12 months of starting.
- Proven experience within housing management and evidence of safeguarding training within the past 12 months is also key.
- Advanced DBS check will be required.
Details
- This is a full-time role Monday-Sunday, 35 hours per week, with very occasional evening and weekend work.
- The role is based on site in Redhill at a minimum of 4 days per week.
