Project, Commercial & Programme Management (PMCM)
PMCM at WSP ensures successful project delivery through integrated management of scope, cost, schedule, and risk. The team supports clients from concept to completion using structured methodologies and digital tools.
Scope of the role
The role supports our NEC ECC PM team across sectors including highways, rail, urban infrastructure, energy, flood, water, wind, carbon capture, nuclear, defence, and large‑scale utilities. You will manage projects and teams, lead client interactions, and deliver high‑quality outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Lead or support multidisciplinary teams, ensuring project delivery from concept to completion.
- Manage NEC ECC contracts, including commercial, risk, change and project discipline.
- Drive stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation to build strong client relationships.
- Oversee health and safety, quality and environmental aspects of projects.
- Apply continuous improvement and innovation across project processes.
Essential qualifications and experience
- Recognised project qualifications (PMP, APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
- Experience managing diverse, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects and programmes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills.
- Commercial acumen, with expertise in financial discipline and NEC4/ECC contract management.
- Proficiency in risk, change and commercial management.
- Experience with clients in utilities, water, energy, defence, highways, rail, urban infrastructure, and related sectors.
- Path to chartership or current membership of relevant professional institutions (e.g. APM, MRICS, MCCIOB, MCIHT, CEng, MAPM, MICE).
- Commitment to professional development, sustainability and WSP’s initiatives.
