About the role
We’re looking for an Automation Quality Assurance Engineer, internally referred to as ‘Test Analyst’, to deliver reliable, secure and high‑performing digital experiences. The role focuses on testing Magento web applications and Microsoft Azure‑hosted services, ensuring thorough test coverage before release.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and backend systems using Selenium, Playwright, and other tools.
- Build and run automated regression tests to protect existing functionality.
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, embedding automated testing into every release.
- Carry out automated security testing with OWASP ZAP, identify vulnerabilities, and support resolution.
- Monitor and improve performance using Google Lighthouse and conduct load/stress testing when required.
- Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG) using tools such as a11ywatch or kayle.
- Perform manual testing to validate functionality and user experience.
- Track defects in sprint cycles and support their resolution.
- Maintain clear, up‑to‑date documentation of test cases, scripts and results.
- Support and mentor teammates in automation best practices.
Required skills and qualifications
- Certification in a recognised testing framework (e.g., ISTQB Foundation Level or Certified Selenium Professional).
- Experience testing the Magento platform, including custom modules and integrations.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline management.
- Practical experience building automation frameworks with Selenium, Playwright, or similar.
- Knowledge of security testing tools such as OWASP ZAP.
- Performance optimisation experience using Lighthouse or similar tools.
- Accessibility compliance knowledge and experience applying WCAG standards.
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
