About The Role
Bespak are looking for a Senior QA Officer for a permanent onsite position at the Holmes Chapel site, CW4 8BE. The salary for this role is £34K – £40K. Other benefits you will receive are 25 days leave plus bank holidays, discretionary annual bonus, generous 10% pension contribution, onsite free parking, and medical/dental/health/life assurance.
Working Pattern – Monday to Friday, usual working times of 8:30am to 5:00pm with an 8:30am to 3:45pm finish on a Friday. There is some flexibility on start and finish times.
As a Senior QA Officer, you will provide leadership and expert oversight to ensure full compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements, supporting across Manufacturing, Production, and QC, managing batch disposition, documentation, deviations, investigations, and CAPA.
Working cross-functionally, you will deliver risk‑based quality guidance, support inspection readiness, and drive continuous improvement through Product Quality Reviews, process monitoring, and the enhancement of site quality systems.
Key Duties
- Provide senior QA leadership and oversight to ensure full compliance with cGMP and regulatory standards.
- Support QA activities across Manufacturing, Production, and QC, including batch review disposition, documentation approval, deviations, investigations, and CAPA.
- Partner with cross‑functional and project teams to deliver risk‑based quality guidance and support non‑routine activities.
- Drive inspection readiness and support internal, customer, and regulatory audits and inspections.
- Champion continuous improvement through Product Quality Reviews, quality metrics monitoring, and enhancement of site quality systems.
Key Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) with proven experience in pharmaceutical Quality roles.
- Strong knowledge of cGMP, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management Systems.
- Demonstrated experience in deviations, investigations, CAPA, and batch disposition.
- Effective QA leader with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
- Strong problem‑solving capability using risk‑based and root cause analysis tools.
- Excellent communication skills, confident supporting audits and inspections.
- Highly organised, self‑motivated, and proficient in MS Office; LIMS/ERP experience desirable.
