We’re looking for a Road Surfacing Team Leader to manage sites across Scotland, leading operatives, plant, and subcontractors to deliver high‑quality surfacing works safely and efficiently.
This is a hands‑on role. You’ll be on site, making decisions, keeping jobs moving, and holding standards.
The Role
- Lead surfacing gangs on active sites across the region
- Manage day‑to‑day site operations, including plant and subcontractors
- Plan and execute daily works to meet programme and output targets
- Ensure all health, safety, and environmental standards are met
- Deliver work to spec and secure client sign‑off at the end of each shift
- Minimise waste, reduce remedials, and drive efficiency on site
- Complete site records, briefings, and compliance documentation
What Matters
- Experience in road surfacing and machine lay asphalt works
- Confident leading a gang and managing site activity
- Strong understanding of surfacing plant (pavers, rollers, etc.)
- Able to make decisions on site and keep work moving
- Safety‑first mindset with high standards
- Flexible and willing to travel across projects in the region
