Job Introduction. Do you want to be at the forefront of shaping high-quality prosperous new communities? Are you a planning or project management professional looking for a new challenge and be involved in one of the country’s largest new garden town developments? Would you like to use your organisational skills to ensure development milestones are met and quality objectives are achieved? Are you passionate about supporting communities through change and helping them to understand development proposals? If so, we are looking to expand our Gilston Area Planning Team with a new role to help us ensure the Gilston Area development achieves a high-quality standard and meets the objectives and commitments made during the planning application process. The Gilston Area is a new development of 10,000 new homes plus community infrastructure that will take around 25 years to complete. Planning permission was granted in January 2025 that secures the delivery of the infrastructure needed to support a whole new community as well as financial contributions towards infrastructure beyond the development. As the project progresses there will be multiple detailed planning applications and conditions to be approved. Keeping track of each workstream will be crucial to the Gilston Area Team and to the community.
