We are seeking a Data Analyst with strong technical expertise and active Microsoft certifications to join our ambitious team. This role combines hands‑on analytics project delivery with professional training responsibilities.

- Location: Sunderland, North East England (Hybrid remote)
- Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent (37.5 hours/week)
- Work Environment: Hybrid remote with client‑facing responsibilities
Role Overview
You will deliver analytics projects, design Power BI dashboards, manage Microsoft Fabric environments, and provide instructor‑led training aligned with Microsoft certification pathways. This is a central role in a growing consultancy, offering influence over how we work and exposure to varied clients across public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, clean, and reshape data using Power Query and Microsoft Fabric
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends and insights for clients
- Design and build Power BI dashboards (data models, DAX, row‑level security)
- Architect and manage Microsoft Fabric environments (lakehouses, pipelines, notebooks, semantic models)
- Deliver instructor‑led training in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and analytics fundamentals
- Develop and update training modules aligned with Microsoft certifications (PL-300, DP-600)
- Contribute to end‑to‑end project delivery from requirements gathering to handover
- Maintain documentation of models, pipelines, reports, and training materials
- Present findings and training outcomes clearly to non‑technical audiences
- Stay current with Microsoft data platform developments
Candidate Requirements
- Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600)
- Active Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) status
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related field
- Hands‑on experience building Power BI solutions (data models, DAX, Power Query)
- Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric (lakehouses, pipelines, notebooks, semantic models)
- Track record of delivering technical training to professional audiences
- Strong data wrangling skills across structured/unstructured sources
- Ability to explain complex outputs to non‑technical audiences
- Experience designing training content aligned to certification frameworks
- Involvement in end‑to‑end analytics project delivery
- Experience in a training business, professional education provider, or data consultancy
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or other scripting languages
- Permanent full‑time contract (37.5 hours/week)
