We put people first. It’s all about you..
To thrive in this role, you should be a collaborative communicator with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment. You are a technical mentor who enjoys coaching others through design and code reviews to champion high analytical standards.
We work together. Your team and the people you will work with...
You will join the Technology & Product function within the Data family. This role acts as a strategic partner to core business units such as product, operations, commercial, or customer functions. You will sit at the intersection of data engineering and business strategy, working closely with both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders to translate ambiguous problems into clear analytical frameworks.
We deliver progress. What you’ll do and how you will make an impact.
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will take end-to-end ownership of the reliability and performance of core analytical domains. You will drive progress by:
Designing and developing robust, scalable data models that enable high-quality analytics across UW.
Identifying opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction by translating data into strategic recommendations.
Defining and tracking key metrics to measure business performance and success.
Designing experiments to evaluate and support continuous business improvement.
Influencing the roadmap and driving measurable improvements in core business KPIs.
Addressing technical debt and balancing the trade‑off between "shipping fast" and "building right".
Technical Skills & Experience:
SQL Proficiency: Expert level, with the ability to debug complex queries.
Operational Excellence: Experience in pipeline design and reliability engineering, including advanced observability.
Domain Expertise: Significant experience in Marketing, CRM, or customer-focused analytics.
So why pick UW? We’ve got big ambitions so there’s going to be plenty of challenges. There are also a lot of benefits:
You’ve got this far... Hit apply - we can’t wait to hear from you! Worried you don’t hit all the criteria? We welcome applications from diverse and varied backgrounds so get your application in and let’s chat! Beth Rodgers will be your point of contact throughout the recruitment process.
Not sure you meet all the requirements? Let us decide! Research shows that women and members of other underrepresented groups tend not to apply for jobs if they think they may not meet every qualification, when in fact they often do.
We provide equal opportunities, a diverse and inclusive work environment, and fairness for everyone. You are welcome to apply no matter your age, disability, gender, marriage or civil partnership status, pregnancy and maternity status, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation. Please don’t be afraid to ask about what we can do to support your needs. All requests will be carefully and fairly considered.
Please note, if you are successful and offered a role at UW, you will be subject to a background check. Where checks are unsatisfactory or incomplete and/or a failure to reveal information relating to convictions that you are required to identify as part of the background checks, could lead to withdrawal of an offer of employment.
