The Opportunity:

Sentinel is working with a well-established consultancy that is looking to hire a Hospital/Healthcare Planner into their growing team.

This is a key hire due to project demand and a rare opportunity to join a specialist team working at the forefront of UK healthcare transformation and major hospital programmes.

This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role where you’ll take ownership of projects, lead workstreams, and play a visible role with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading healthcare planning & strategy engagements end-to-end
  • Demand & capacity modelling
  • Clinical/service planning
  • Strategic & outline business cases (SOC/OBC)
  • Healthcare facility planning & briefing
  • Supporting major hospital programmes (including NHP-aligned projects)
  • Running clinical stakeholder workshops and engagement sessions
  • Reviewing/coordinating designs, layouts, and equipment planning
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to NHS and private clients
  • Contributing to bids, proposals, and winning new work

Skills/Experience:

  • Consultancy background
  • Time spent in an NHS Trust/public sector planning environment
  • Strong experience in healthcare strategy/planning/infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of hospital planning & clinical workflows
  • Experience working on business cases (SOC/OBC)
  • Exposure to the New Hospital Programme (NHP) (desirable)
