The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer III with experience in web development, specializing in Adobe Commerce. This role will support the rollout of new web servers using a cloud provider and contribute to building scalable, secure, and high-performance eCommerce solutions.
Reports To: Ecommerce Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom Adobe Commerce modules, themes, and integrations.
- Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy and manage web servers in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Ensure application performance, scalability, and security across the Adobe Commerce stack (PHP, MySQL, RabbitMQ)
- Participate in architectural planning, code reviews, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across front-end and back-end systems.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Work cross-functionally with Product, QA, and Design teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements
- Experience in software engineering, with a focus on web and eCommerce development.
- Deep expertise in Adobe Commerce, including custom module development and theming.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and MySQL.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and server provisioning.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Git.
- Experience with Linux-based environments, Nginx/Apache, and monitoring tools
DevOps Skills
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of automated deployment, configuration management, and log aggregation.
- Familiarity with security best practices in cloud and eCommerce environments.
