Project Engineer

Location: Droitwich or Severnside. Permanent contract. Full UK driving licence required for travel across sites.

The purpose of a Project Engineer at Müller Milk & Ingredients is to deliver best‑in‑class engineering projects aligned with the business vision and OGSM strategic plan, delivering them on time, within budget, and to a high quality standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Play an active part in continuously improving systems and business processes, supporting improvement activities/events within all areas.
• Maintain awareness of Total Cost of Ownership to deliver fit‑for‑purpose solutions.
• Control project budgets closely, ensuring forecast spend is apparent at all times from concept to closure.
• Coaching and mentoring of site leadership teams while managing minor capital projects end‑to‑end.
• Manage and adhere to the Müller project management and investment processes for technical investment within the Müller Group (major capitals and minor non‑manufacturing environments).
• Ensure all project completion and handover documentation is submitted to the relevant site teams.
• Support the wider project team to deliver the OGSM of the business.

Key Skills & Experience

• Degree‑level qualification in a relevant STEM subject (Engineering, Physics, Maths, Science) or equivalent industry experience.
• Project Management experience/qualification; experience within an FMCG environment is desirable.
• Proficiency with Project Management systems (e.g., MS Project).
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate across all levels within the business.
• Full UK driving licence.
