Our client is seeking a Solutions Architect to join their diverse and inclusive team. Youll become part of a small, fast-paced, agile delivery team, using agile methodologies and DevOps techniques to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting UK Government and Defence customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft technical Statements of Requirements for cloud-native applications and platform solutions.
- Define and assess technical architectures and solutions.
- Define technical and business requirements.
- Produce high- and low-level technical designs.
- Develop high-level operating model designs.
- Define security controls and architecture following cloud and application security best practices.
- Define and select DevOps pipelines, processes, and tools.
- Recommend coding languages, testing strategies, and development tools.
- Define tools and practices to monitor and support cloud applications.
- Define service management practices and processes.
- Architect and support delivery of on-premise virtualization solutions (VMware ESX, vCenter).
- Architect and support IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS public cloud solutions (AWS & Azure).
- Develop and maintain technical architecture documentation to support security and accreditation.

Qualifications
- Contemporary software engineering, including selection and application of appropriate technology and patterns.
- Working in teams developing full-stack solutions.
- Defining, installing, or supporting networking solutions.
- DevOps practices, including virtualization, containerization, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Engaging with senior stakeholders and willingness to travel to customer sites in the South West and London.
- Agile environments, using methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
