Lead Engineer – Gas Distribution Networks
Location: West Midlands, West of England, South Wales (patch – Newport, Worcester, Banbury, Slough, Swindon).
Salary: £48,000 – £57,000 per annum plus car/car allowance, pension and 25 days leave.
Hours: 37.5 hours Monday – Friday plus standby rota for emergencies.
The Role
- Full‑time, permanent field‑based role covering a regional patch for a large utilities company.
- Ensure gas network assets are maintained and operated satisfactorily, including audits and site inspections.
- Team lead – direct staff (up to 6) and manage subcontractors.
- Ensure fitness for purpose of operational equipment.
The Person
- Experience at a senior level in gas distribution engineering.
- Experience undertaking complex asset‑related surveys.
- Membership or working towards membership of Engtech.
- Full UK driving licence.
