Infrastructure & Network Engineer – High Wycombe, GB
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including switching, routing, wireless, and WAN technologies.
- Assist with firewall configuration and network security controls.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune) and Azure AD.
- Support server environments including Windows Server, virtualization platforms, storage, and backup solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated infrastructure and network issues.
- Contribute to infrastructure and security improvements across multiple sites.
- Support patching, monitoring, incident response, and business continuity activities.
- Assist with disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Maintain accurate system documentation, network diagrams, and procedures.
- Monitor performance and capacity to help improve reliability and resilience.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in at least five of the following areas:
- Enterprise LAN/WAN networking (routing, switching, VLANs, Wi‑Fi)
- Firewall administration and network security
- Microsoft 365 and Azure AD identity management
- Windows Server, Linux, virtualization (VMware / Hyper‑V), and storage
- Client operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
- Troubleshooting complex infrastructure and network issues
- Applying security best practice (patching, hardening, identity)
- Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience delivering infrastructure or security solutions across multiple locations
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Desirable:
- Industry certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), or CompTIA (Network+, Server+, Security+)
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline
