What You’ll Do At Work
- Specialize in Building Management Systems across industrial, commercial and residential markets.
- Deliver projects from initiation through to completion, issuing documentation and obtaining client approvals.
- Consult with clients to enhance building performance, reduce running costs and emissions, and improve overall efficiency.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of HVAC controls, mechanical, electrical and building services systems.
- Receive guidance from a mentor in BMS engineering principles and strategies to lower energy costs.
- Create detailed project plans for various systems ensuring compliance with industry and legislative standards.
- Work on diverse BMS environments: warehouses, manufacturing plants, retail spaces, commercial offices and schools.
- Conduct site visits with colleagues to survey and gather information for bespoke projects.
- Deliver projects based in Manchester and Liverpool, with site visits and flexible travel required.

Where You’ll Train
Train’d Up: Project Controls Technician level 3 – a blend of college learning and hands‑on mentoring. College will be day release remote.
What You’ll Need
- Minimum GCSEs in English & Maths, Grade 5 (C) or above.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight in hotels when required.
- Team spirit, strong communication skills and enthusiasm for technology and engineering.
