Our client is building a next-generation fintech platform powered by highly scalable, distributed systems designed to operate seamlessly across global markets. They are seeking a Python Engineer with deep expertise in distributed architectures to help design and deliver the core infrastructure that underpins their real-time financial products.

In this role, you’ll focus on developing and optimising distributed services that handle high-throughput data pipelines, event-driven processing, and resilient microservices at scale. You’ll work on systems responsible for everything from real-time data ingestion and processing to fault-tolerant service orchestration across geographically distributed environments.

The position offers true ownership across the full lifecycle — from designing distributed system architecture and defining communication patterns, to implementation, observability, and continuous performance improvement. Engineers are encouraged to experiment with new technologies, rethink system boundaries, and push the limits of scalability and reliability.

This fintech is tackling complex challenges such as sub-second data consistency across regions, intelligent workload distribution, and self-healing infrastructure. With a modern Python stack, cloud-native tooling, and a strong emphasis on engineering autonomy, it’s an opportunity to build systems that are not only robust and scalable, but genuinely innovative in how financial platforms are designed.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Python (4+ Years)
  • Experience working with REST Microservices
  • Strong SQL
  • Experience working with very large data sets.
  • Knowledge of big data tools (Spark, Kafka etc)
  • Experience working in finance (Preferred)
  • Strong formal education – ideally in Computer Science
