Due to sustained demand from our National Security and Government clients, we are actively seeking multiple SC-cleared Software Engineers for high-profile programmes across Manchester (please note you must be willing to go to a high level of security clearance due to the nature of the work).

These roles offer the opportunity to work on mission-critical, secure systems within highly regulated environments.

What you’ll be doing

• Building and IP Security conformance test suite and reference implementation that underpins national-level cryptography programmes.
• Creating high-quality, open‑by‑default software designed for long‑term reuse across teams, programmes, and partners.
• Applying a test‑driven engineering approach to deliver software that meets the highest assurance standards.
• Producing clear, dependable documentation, helping others implement and build on your work effectively.

Typical Tech Stack

• Kubernetes (nice to have)
• Golang (nice to have)
• Python
• Test development experience

Locations

• Manchester

Rates

• Depending on SFIA grade, it can range from £55,000- £85,000 + Bonus’

Security Clearance

• Active SC clearance is essential (and willing to go to a higher level of clearance).
• Candidates must be UK nationals and comfortable working in secure, on‑site environments
