Job Overview

The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. It focuses on contributing to application systems analysis and programming activities within the Wholesale Credit Risk Technology team serving Institutional Credit Management (ICM). The role involves designing and delivering innovative technology solutions for the front‑office Credit Risk Business using Python, FastAPI, MCP, LLM, Java, and other cutting‑edge technologies.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team.
• Research and resolve complex issues, escalating as appropriate.
• Investigate possible bug scenarios and production support issues.
• Design and deliver innovative technology solutions for the front‑office Credit Risk Business.
• Develop solutions using Python, FastAPI, MCP, LLM, Java, and modern technologies.
• Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to implement business solutions.
• Communicate development progress to the Project Lead.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience building enterprise‑scale, highly componentized applications using Python and FastAPI.
• Hands‑on development experience in Python.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and other containerized platforms.
• Recent experience with modern Python development using large language models, model context protocol, and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) architecture.
• Experience developing applications in the financial services industry (preferred).
• Strong ability to effectively interact and collaborate with development teams.
