CNC Programmer - Mechanical Workshop Refurbishment
Location: Hull
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Responsibilities
- Program and operate CNC equipment including vertical grinders and countersink machines.
- Conduct mechanical refurbishment of rolls, dies, and other components.
- Dismantle, inspect, and reassemble mechanical parts, including replacement of bearings and other components.
- Interpret and work from technical and composite drawings.
- Maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency within the workshop.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and exceptional service to clients.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven mechanical skills, with experience in machining or mechanical service environments.
- Strong CNC programming skills and practical knowledge of machine shop operations.
- Hands-on experience with measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, calipers).
- Understanding of gearboxes, bearings, sealings, and lubricants.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office and basic workshop software tools.
- Blacksmith or machining experience is highly advantageous.
