As a Frontend Engineer on our team, you will play a vital role in building the responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces that power our Data Productivity Cloud using React. We are looking for an engineer who is excited to embrace an agentic-first mindset—viewing AI-powered developer tools like Claude, Gemini, or Cursor not just as shortcuts, but as essential partners in accelerating the entire development lifecycle.

This is a hybrid role based in Manchester, UK, with minimum 2 days a week in the office.

What You’ll Do

• React Feature Engineering: Develop and maintain production-ready UI components using React and TypeScript, prioritizing code that is clean, readable, and easily understood by peers.
• Agentic-First Development: Integrate GenAI tools into your daily workflow to automate repetitive tasks, increasing development velocity and focusing on complex logic and architecture.
• Quality Assurance & AI Validation: Review, refactor, and perfect AI-suggested code to ensure security and performance.
• Incremental Delivery: Break down larger epics into manageable tasks, ensuring a consistent flow of value through CI.
• Collaborative Design: Contribute to front-end architecture discussions, defining component patterns and state management within your squad.
• Operational Excellence: Use observability data to monitor services and suggest front-end performance enhancements.
• Comprehensive Testing: Write robust unit and integration tests for React components, including edge cases.

What We’re Looking For

• React & Modern Frontend: Professional experience delivering web applications with React; writes testable code and good documentation.
• AI Literacy: Experience using AI-powered tools as a daily copilot and a commitment to validating outputs.
• Systematic Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve frontend issues using a structured approach.
• Thoughtful Software Design: Experience designing functions and components that fit into a broader service architecture with clean abstractions.
• SDLC Expertise: Familiarity with Agile, CI/CD pipelines, and version control.
• Security & Quality Focus: Understanding of modern web security and writing self-documenting code.
• Clear Communication: Ability to explain React concepts clearly and listen actively for team alignment.
• Product Awareness: Understanding of business context with a drive to simplify designs for end users.

Benefits & Work Culture

We offer competitive salaries in line with market standards. Estimated compensation range for this position is £44,600 to £66,000, based on skills, experience and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process. We operate a flexible working culture with benefits including:
