Senior Frontend Engineer in the E‑commerce Engineering team, responsible for the customer experience on ledger.com.
Responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end delivery of new features and product improvements.
- Lead the development of high‑impact features from ideation to production.
- Make pragmatic trade‑offs to balance speed, quality, and scalability.
- Ship frequently and iterate based on real user data.
- Write clean, maintainable, and performant TypeScript, React, and Next.js code.
- Improve architecture, scalability, and reliability of the platform.
- Maintain high standards for testing, monitoring, and code quality.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Marketing to define the right problems.
- Contribute to technical decisions with a strong product and business mindset.
- Focus on outcomes like conversion, performance, and user experience.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and feedback.
- Share knowledge and promote best practices across the team.
- Help drive a culture of ownership, pragmatism, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with stakeholders to plan, estimate, and deliver work.
- Communicate clearly on progress, risks, and trade‑offs.
- Contribute to a strong, transparent engineering culture.
Qualifications
- Strong experience building production applications with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
- Experience with Next.js or modern SSR frameworks.
- Proven ability to own and deliver projects end‑to‑end.
- Comfortable leveraging AI‑assisted development tools to improve productivity while maintaining high quality standards.
- Strong product mindset focused on user impact and business outcomes.
- Experience in A/B testing and data‑driven optimisation.
- Solid understanding of performance, SEO, and web best practices.
- Pragmatic approach to engineering—knowing when to optimise versus ship.
- Mentoring mindset with strong communication skills.
