Job Description:

Senior Frontend Engineer in the E‑commerce Engineering team, responsible for the customer experience on ledger.com.

Responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end delivery of new features and product improvements.
  • Lead the development of high‑impact features from ideation to production.
  • Make pragmatic trade‑offs to balance speed, quality, and scalability.
  • Ship frequently and iterate based on real user data.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and performant TypeScript, React, and Next.js code.
  • Improve architecture, scalability, and reliability of the platform.
  • Maintain high standards for testing, monitoring, and code quality.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Marketing to define the right problems.
  • Contribute to technical decisions with a strong product and business mindset.
  • Focus on outcomes like conversion, performance, and user experience.
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and feedback.
  • Share knowledge and promote best practices across the team.
  • Help drive a culture of ownership, pragmatism, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to plan, estimate, and deliver work.
  • Communicate clearly on progress, risks, and trade‑offs.
  • Contribute to a strong, transparent engineering culture.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience building production applications with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
  • Experience with Next.js or modern SSR frameworks.
  • Proven ability to own and deliver projects end‑to‑end.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI‑assisted development tools to improve productivity while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Strong product mindset focused on user impact and business outcomes.
  • Experience in A/B testing and data‑driven optimisation.
  • Solid understanding of performance, SEO, and web best practices.
  • Pragmatic approach to engineering—knowing when to optimise versus ship.
  • Mentoring mindset with strong communication skills.
