SC Data Engineers (SQL, PYTHON, AZURE, SSIS, SSAS)

Our government client is looking for Data Engineers to begin ASAP.

Role details

• Hybrid, 2 days per week on site in Swansea, Wales
• Inside IR35
• SC clearance required
• 3‑6‑month contract, with extensions possible

The team are migrating SSIS packages and SSAS cubes to Databricks and Spark Declarative Pipelines (previously known as Delta Live Tables). This role requires strong SQL knowledge and familiarity with Python on Databricks will be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Migrate SSIS packages and SSAS cubes to Databricks.
• Replicate existing SSIS packages using data available in Databricks.
• Collaborate with the client on moving data from on‑premise to the cloud.
• Ensure data pipelines operate correctly in the Azure environment.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with Databricks and Spark declarative pipelines.
• Familiarity with Python on Databricks preferred.
• High‑level security clearance (held or previously held).
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
