Infrastructure Engineer (Part-Time) – Service Provider – Dungannon (On-Site 2 Days Per Week) – £400–£500 Per Day (Outside IR35)
Overview
We are supporting an established service provider in Northern Ireland who are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer for an initial 8-month contract engagement.
This is a part-time role requiring 2 days per week on-site in Dungannon, with occasional travel to additional sites as required. The position is outside IR35 and offers a strong day rate, providing an excellent opportunity for a contractor seeking flexibility alongside attractive earnings.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and maintaining a Dell-centric enterprise infrastructure estate, ensuring stability, performance, and ongoing patching across server and storage environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Dell enterprise server infrastructure across multiple sites
- Administer and support Dell PowerStore SAN and Dell VxRail environments
- Maintain and optimise VMware virtualised infrastructure
- Support hosted Windows and Linux server estates
- Perform regular patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities
- Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues
- Support infrastructure improvement and resilience initiatives
Skills & Experience
- Proven hands-on experience supporting Dell enterprise infrastructure environments
- Strong knowledge of Dell Servers, Dell PowerStore SAN, and Dell VxRail
- Experience managing both Windows and Linux servers
- Demonstrable experience performing infrastructure patching and maintenance
- Comfortable working independently in a part-time, on-site capacity
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- 2 days per week on-site (Dungannon)
