Join our Power Transmission & Distribution team as an Underground Cable Project Engineer on our Operational Team, delivering complex work that really matters to our business and the world around you.

This position will be working on the Longside project near Aberdeen.

As a Project Engineer your role will be to formalise and specify a delivery solution, brief it to the working party and ensure it is followed and completed.

  • Manage, monitor and motivate a multi‑skilled team of engineers, subcontractors and other construction experts.
  • Take responsibility for smaller projects or sections of larger projects.
  • Set performance targets and carry out analysis to ensure the team works to the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Be involved in the procurement of subcontractors.

  • Develop and deliver the engineered solution and brief to the working party.
  • Safely and sustainably deliver activity to programme, cost and quality.
  • Monitor and record works to ensure compliance in a timely manner.

  • Effectively manage and care for the people delivering the work.

Qualifications

  • Experience and track record in delivering underground cable projects.
  • Experience of supporting large infrastructure projects within the industry.
  • Knowledge and experience of Project Management methodology.
  • Strong people management and commercial awareness, with knowledge of both budgetary and financial control.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
