Position Description

As a Senior Java Developer at CGI, you’ll design and deliver robust, high‑performing software solutions that help clients solve complex business challenges. You’ll play a leading role in building scalable, enterprise‑grade applications using Java and Spring Boot, shaping technology outcomes that drive lasting impact. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑level Java applications using Spring Boot
• Collaborate with clients and teams to define and deliver robust, scalable solutions
• Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle
• Lead Agile ceremonies and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure code quality and maintainability through reviews and testing
• Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of collaboration and learning
• Engage with stakeholders to align technical outcomes with business goals

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

You should have a strong background in Java development with experience in designing and delivering enterprise‑grade applications. You’ll combine solid technical capability with collaboration and communication skills to drive successful client outcomes.

Essential Qualifications

• Proven experience in Java development (Java 8 or higher)
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and RESTful API development
• Experience with Agile methodologies using Jira, Confluence, and Git
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and testing
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience mentoring or leading technical teams

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in IT consulting or client‑facing roles
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with containerisation tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to microservices architecture and API integration
