Senior Monitoring Analyst – design, deploy and maintain enterprise monitoring and vulnerability management solutions. You will operate autonomously, ensuring proactive issue detection, performance optimisation and integration of monitoring with incident and patch management workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as a monitoring subject‑matter expert, influencing monitoring strategy, standards, and best practices across the organisation
  • Maintaining tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, and Azure Monitor
  • Continuously evaluating and recommending enhancements to monitoring toolsets, including emerging technologies and open‑source platforms
  • Leading cross‑functional monitoring projects, including toolset upgrades, integrations, and service improvements
  • Maintaining virtual server estates and system software, ensuring systems are secure, up‑to‑date, and available
  • Using PowerShell or similar for basic automation tasks and coordinating patching activities across infrastructure

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience in monitoring enterprise IT environments
  • Ability to manage multiple incidents simultaneously and lead efforts to resolve complex issues
  • Previous scripting experience in PowerShell
  • Extensive experience with patch management and vulnerability scanning tools
  • Proven experience leading monitoring and observability projects across infrastructure, applications, and user experience domains
  • Ability to correlate infrastructure metrics with business service performance

Other Requirements

  • This role is 37 hours per week and is based at any of our main UK locations.
  • All applicants must be eligible for SC clearance, as a minimum.
