Description

As the Financial Operations Manager duties will include but are not limited to:

• Lead and develop a Financial Operations team, managing workloads and performance
• Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely transactional processing
• Support month‑end close, including reconciliations, journals, and ledger close
• Monitor key controls and KPIs across creditors, debtors, purchase orders, cash, and treasury
• Own and administer finance systems, including user access, reporting, and system improvements
• Oversee payroll, tax, pension, and statutory reporting, liaising with external providers and auditors
• Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, systems, and user engagement

Profile

A successful Financial Operations Manager should have:

• Qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA / CIMA / CIPFA) or strong experience in a similar finance operations role (Qualified by Experience)
• Proven experience leading a transactional finance function in a fast‑paced environment
• Managed a team previously
• Excellent technical knowledge
• Track record of improving finance processes, controls, and ways of working
