Beach Baker is delighted to be instructed on an opportunity to recruit an experienced Estates and Asset Management professional to join a public‑sector organisation in a senior leadership role.

A fantastic opportunity to take on a senior estates and asset management position, supporting the head of service and playing a key role in the management of a diverse non‑housing property portfolio. This role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on estate management and offers significant autonomy and influence.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading the estates management function
• Managing lease events, property transactions and commercial estate matters
• Ensuring statutory compliance across council‑owned assets
• Managing and overseeing external contractors and consultantsMaintaining and developing the property asset management database
• Preparing reports and business cases for senior management and committees
• Providing property advice to senior stakeholders
• Line managing and developing the estates and asset management team
• Deputising for the head of service when required
• Undertaking property inspections and surveys as necessary

What They’re Looking For

• MRICS (or equivalent professional qualification)
• Strong background in Estates / Asset Management
• Experience managing teams and external consultants
• Confident communicator with experience engaging senior stakeholders
• Commercially minded, organised and proactive
• Full UK driving licence

Package & Details

• Salary: £55,000
• Full‑time role (37 hours per week)
• Office‑based with some flexibility
• Excellent pension and public‑sector benefits
