Description
- Lead and develop a Financial Operations team, managing workloads and performance
- Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely transactional processing
- Support month‑end close, including reconciliations, journals, and ledger close
- Monitor key controls and KPIs across creditors, debtors, purchase orders, cash, and treasury
- Own and administer finance systems, including user access, reporting, and system improvements
- Oversee payroll, tax, pension, and statutory reporting, liaising with external providers and auditors
- Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, systems, and user engagement
A Successful Financial Operations Manager Should Have
- Qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA / CIMA / CIPFA) or strong experience in a similar finance operations role (Qualified by Experience)
- Proven experience leading a transactional finance function in a fast‑paced environment
- Managed a team previously
- Excellent technical knowledge
- Track record of improving finance processes, controls, and ways of working
