Vacancy Detail
Job Description: Subject to formal establishment, a vacancy will arise for a OR4-OR7 to serve as Security Assurance Team Auditor at MoD Corsham on FTRS(LC) Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS), with an initial anticipated start date of 01 Jun 26, or earlier if achievable.
Task Requirements
To assure AS system Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) whilst maintaining oversight of network operations. This is to be achieved by providing security advice and guidance through audits, Crown Oversight activities and policy reviews.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site audits in accordance with AS System policy to support decisions for follow up reviews or to terminate non-compliant sites breaching policy.
- Cover the role of Crown Oversight Security Service Desk, actioning and investigating system breaches and change orders in line with AS System policy and SOPs.
- Perform physical Crown Oversight of heightened system activities as per AS System policy, create / update SOPs for all processes which are to be reviewed annually.
- Complete reviews of AS System policy annually and when higher-level policy changes occur and provide SME advice for future AS System policy development.
- Complete all principal role tasks detailed within the AS System Operational Security Management Plan and supporting documentation.
- In the absence of SAT Management, exercise full authority over system users without additional support, having a full understanding of role TORs and System policy.
- Investigate system incidents through liaison with relevant departments to support SAT Work Orders and maintain AS Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability.
- Through quality assurance, guidance and training ensure compliance with AS System policy, enabling efficient use of Defence AS systems worldwide.
Accountability
The post holder for this role will be accountable to the 1RO.
Essential Skills
- Must be a RN/Army/RAF OR4-OR7 of CIS/CSE/ICT Specialisation.
- OR3 applicants with a positive recommendation in their most recent annual SJAR may be considered for the role and the award of Acting Higher Rank (AHR).
- Must currently be serving as a member of the Reserve Forces or have served with the Regular Forces.
- Cat B Driving Licence.
- SC Security Clearance.
Desirable Skills
- DV / STRAP / SPC Security Clearance.
- Auditing Skills – can be provided as part of the role.
- Protective Security – understanding security sensitivities and how they apply to AS.
- Information Assurance – appreciation of the C.I.A triangle.
- Security Investigations – assistance to site security investigations.
Additional Information
- Applicants should be prepared to travel across the UK (and overseas) as required to conduct security assurance audits.
- Accommodation may be available; candidates preferred to be located near MoD Corsham, St Vincents, London, or Basingstoke due to limited availability.
- Remote working is challenging but can be discussed; compressed/flexible hours can also be discussed if necessary (JSP 750).
- Pay will be in accordance with the pay scales published and sS Regulations; leave entitlement is detailed in sS. Personnel may be eligible for Single Living Accommodation if available.
