The Perfect Blend

What We’re Looking For

You’re The Kind Of Finance Leader Who Knows When To Follow The Recipe, When To Refine It And When To Create Something Entirely New. You Bring

  • Significant experience in senior financial operations, reporting, controls and/or tax
  • Strong influencing skills with senior stakeholders, including Exec and NED level
  • Confidence making balanced technical decisions that respect both commercial context and accounting standards
  • Excellent organisational ability, managing short‑ and long‑term priorities simultaneously
  • Experience leading, motivating and developing a multi‑disciplinary team
  • Energy, resilience, enthusiasm and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Empathy and authenticity, consistently modelling company values

Your Flavour Profile (Behaviours & Traits)

In our world, great leadership is crafted much like our cookware — with durability, care, precision and the ability to perform brilliantly under heat. As Financial Controller, your behaviours shape the culture of the kitchen around you.

Skills & Qualifications — Essential Ingredients

  • Technical Mastery: Deep experience across senior financial operations, reporting, controls and/or tax. You understand the technical ingredients of financial statements inside out, applying robust accounting policies and making confident, balanced judgments even in high‑heat situations. Your expertise allows you to run the financial kitchen with the precision of a chef checking every measurement, temperature and timing.
  • Education: A recognised finance qualification (ACA or equivalent) with substantial post‑qualification experience, bringing deep expertise in UK GAAP and IFRS — the essential “classical training” needed for flawless execution.
  • Leadership & Team Development: You’ve led, motivated and developed large, multi‑disciplinary teams, providing mentorship, coaching and clear direction. You know when to oversee the pass, when to train a sous chef, and when to roll up your sleeves and get hands‑on. You create an environment where each team member feels empowered, valued and confident in their role.
  • Special Sauces: Trusted by senior stakeholders, including Executives and NEDs, thanks to your personal credibility, integrity and professionalism. You build strong relationships with Group Finance, auditors, advisors and internal partners, effortlessly blending influence and diplomacy. You engage others like a chef who can talk passionately to diners, collaborate with the kitchen and negotiate with suppliers, translating complexity into clear, compelling insight.
  • Strategic & Operational Planning: Ability to juggle multiple priorities across both the short and long term. You understand when immediate intervention is required and when work can “slow‑cook” under the team’s capable hands. Your organisational ability ensures that no deadline burns, no process is under‑seasoned and no strategic objective gets pushed to the back of the stove.
  • Communication: Communicate with clarity, confidence, capable of leading discussions at SLT, Board and Senior Executive levels. You translate technical and complex information into digestible, well‑plated insight, presenting financial stories that are as compelling as they are precise.
  • Mindset & Approach: You bring enthusiasm, energy, resilience and commitment to every challenge. Whether facing a demanding audit season or designing a new control process, you maintain a continuous‑improvement mindset, driving both incremental enhancements and large‑scale transformational change. You remain calm under pressure — the hallmark of a master chef.
  • Values – Led: You lead with empathy and authenticity, acting as a role model for the values that define us. You bring fairness, transparency and a people‑first approach to your leadership, ensuring that the culture of the kitchen is just as strong as the quality of the output.

Other Requirements

Sometimes, you’ll need to take your culinary skills on the road. This role may involve a tasting tour across the UK and occasionally abroad, with overnight stays on the menu. To keep the journey smooth, a full, clean UK driving licence is one of the essential ingredients.

Why Join Our Table?

At Le Creuset, you will find your seat at our table, which is as colourful as our cookware and rich in history. Our table is grounded in our values: Passion, Integrity, Excellence, Innovation and Teamwork. Every talent will add flavor. Every idea brings colour. And every day is a chance to create something that lasts. With the passion you bring, you become part of a timeless legacy, one that brings people together around food, stories, and meaningful shared moments.

Diversity and Inclusion Statement

We welcome applications from all qualified candidates, regardless of gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief, marital or civil partnership status, race, ethnic or national origin. We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.
