Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Insurance Officer to join Bradford Council on an ongoing temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management and delivery of the Council’s insurance arrangements
- Assist with the procurement and administration of the insurance programme, ensuring compliance with the Insurance Act 2015
- Lead on handling a range of insurance claims, ensuring they are managed professionally and in a timely manner
- Liaise with claims handlers, legal representatives, loss adjusters, and internal stakeholders
- Gather and assess evidence to support complex claims cases
- Contribute to the development of loss control strategies to improve the Council’s risk profile
- Provide advice and guidance on insurance matters, financial regulations and risk management
Essential
- Experience of insurance within a local authority or large organisation
- Experience handling and administering insurance claims
- Understanding of insurance policies, clauses and risk management principles
