Skybound Wealth UK is the FCA regulated arm of the business, operating since 2002 and advising clients UK-wide. We are headquartered in Ferndown (Greater Bournemouth), with advisers across the UK.

About the role

As a Senior Paraplanner you will work closely with our Private Wealth Advisers across the full advice process, covering pensions, investments, protection and estate planning.

Cashflow modelling sits at the centre of our advice approach, helping clients understand long-term financial outcomes and supporting advisers in delivering high quality recommendations.

We are looking for experienced candidates within the advice industry, who could be a career Paraplanner or interested in progressing as a UK Private Wealth Adviser in the future. The UK business is currently in a period of growth, with a focus on refining processes and scaling the delivery of high-quality financial advice.

Key Duties

  • Undertake detailed product and fund research across pensions, investments, protection, tax and estate planning
  • Analyse client circumstances, objectives and existing arrangements to inform recommendation
  • Utilise Plume, our proprietary wealth technology platform, to support the efficient delivery of high-quality advice
  • Use cashflow modelling to demonstrate outcomes and support adviser recommendations
  • Prepare high-quality, detailed suitability letters and advice reports based on fact finds and information provided by Private Wealth Advisers
  • Support Private Wealth Advisers through the end-to-end advice process, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
  • Liaise with providers to obtain quotations, projections, policy information and technical details
  • Ensure all work meets FCA standards, internal compliance requirements and company policies
  • Keep up to date with regulatory, legislative and product changes
  • Prepare meeting packs and relevant technical documents in advance
  • Be a point of contact for technical queries from advisers and occasionally clients
  • Monitor the provider matrix and model portfolios used for clients under Skybound Wealth UK
  • Contribute to improving technical standards, processes and advice delivery as the UK business continues to grow

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years relevant financial services experience and have worked for a financial advisory business in a similar role
  • Level 4 Diploma qualified ideally, or part qualified with a commitment to progress
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and protection
  • High attention to detail with strong numeracy and written communication skills
  • Good IT Skills – intermediate level in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with software packages such as FE Analytics is desirable for this role
  • Knowledge of cashflow modelling software (e.g. Voyant, Truth, CashCalc) advantageous
