Responsibilities
- Advising the business unit of over 300 people on how to make their cloud‑based capabilities more efficient and cost‑effective.
- Working at both strategic and technical levels to help customers understand and adopt FinOps practices.
- Collaborating with product architects and engineering teams to architect solutions with cost considered from the outset.
- Developing FinOps strategies and approaches, influencing customers to leverage these services to optimise their cloud investments.
- Influencing architectural decisions, advising on AWS cost optimisation strategies, and championing FinOps principles across internal teams and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Applying FinOps principles to drive cloud efficiency and cost optimisation in large‑scale environments.
- Deep understanding of AWS technologies, pricing models, and cost management tools.
- Advising on cloud architecture to embed cost efficiency and scalability.
- Developing and marketing FinOps offerings to customers, including creating compelling value propositions.
- Engaging with senior stakeholders to align cloud efficiency strategies with business objectives.
- Building business cases for cloud optimisation initiatives supported by robust data and analysis.
- Familiarity with government or regulated environments (desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication skills to influence technical and non‑technical audiences.
