Breast Care Nurse

Overview

The post holder will carry continuing responsibility for a defined caseload, including the setting of standards of care, the assessment of care needs and development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. The post holder will provide advanced nursing expertise to a specific patient group and will contribute to the development of the specialty service as well as contributing to the strategic direction of nursing within the Trust. The post holder will ensure cost effective use of resources.

Responsibilities

• Carry continuing responsibility for a defined caseload and contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of care programmes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must have previous experience working at B7 (or above) Nurse Practitioner level
• Experience of service development and/or change management
• Audit and standard setting
• Staff management experience
• Highly developed specialist knowledge underpinned by theory and experience
• Standards of professional practice
• Experience of recruitment and selection
