Clinical Research Nurse

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Research & Development team as a Research Nurse. The role will deliver high quality care and support to research participants for the duration of their study involvement, as part of the multi‑disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality care and support to research participants throughout their study participation.
• Contribute to effective management of each study, including patient recruitment, research sampling and the collection of study‑specific information.
• Maintain accurate records of study‑specific information using paper records, electronic patient management systems or web‑based study information systems in accordance with study protocols, sponsor requirements and Forth Valley SOPs.
• Identify and recruit study participants from research‑active areas within NHS Forth Valley.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with post‑registration experience in a clinical research environment and acute specialist areas.
• Minimum degree level education and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Current Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificate.
• Proficiency in MS Office and electronic patient management systems.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery.
• Member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme required.
