Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is looking to recruit a registered mental health nurse to join the team. This is a full‑time role working 37.5 hours per week, based in Cheadle Royal, within picturesque landscaped gardens in Stockport. The role offers a comprehensive inpatient mental health service for young people and adults.

What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team committed to our patients' wellbeing, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, and undertaking routine tasks and activities directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
- Providing and supporting nursing care within the ward environment, including acting as a named nurse for a defined group of patients.
- Assessing, planning, and delivering nursing care in collaboration with patients and their families/carers, ensuring it reflects individual needs and preferences.
- Accurately observing, communicating with, and engaging service users to assess their needs and evaluate their progress.
- Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance processes.
What you'll bring to the role
Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. The role requires a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC PIN and at least six months post‑registration experience in a mental health setting, plus CAMHS experience. Candidates should be confident communicators with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, demonstrating flexibility, innovation, and a strong motivation for quality improvement. Proficiency in IT and the ability to use electronic care systems effectively are essential, as is a thorough knowledge of NMC standards and a commitment to best practice.
