Role Summary
Medical Writer – Full-time, permanent. Salary: £39,000 per annum. Location: Global Headquarters in Cambridge with options in London, Manchester, Bristol and Edinburgh. Start dates available throughout 2026 – candidates should state availability on application. About the Role
Medical Writers develop medical communications materials that analyse and present clinical‑trial data to aid the uptake of novel therapies. The role involves preparing posters, slide decks, peer‑reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, oral presentations, regulatory documents and other scientific outputs. Writers may work on several projects across different disease areas concurrently and will collaborate with clients, opinion leaders, experts and event staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse clinical‑trial data to create materials for varied audiences and formats.
- Work closely with clients, participating in teleconferences and face‑to‑face meetings.
- Support project management and client communication in partnership with experienced colleagues.
- Manage multiple projects across different disease areas at the same time.
- Collaborate with teams across the company to develop a comprehensive understanding of service offerings and clients.
About You – Essential Requirements
- Undergraduate degree‑level qualification in a scientific discipline (minimum 2.1); postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
- Experience planning and writing scientific documents (lab reports, dissertations, poster/oral presentations, peer‑reviewed publications, grant applications, regulatory documents, etc.).
- Self‑motivated, enthusiastic, with a genuine interest in healthcare and a desire to learn and develop.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks across multiple projects.
- Excellent written English for client work, email communication and internal messaging.
- Effective verbal communication skills and ability to tailor style to diverse audiences.
- Proactive mindset, collaborative approach, and willingness to take ownership of work and career development.
- Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
