At London Paramount Care, we believe every young person deserves a safe and supportive place to grow, learn, and thrive. Our teams work closely with families, carers, and professionals to create environments that are nurturing, consistent, and centred on each young person. With services across Hertfordshire, including another children’s home in Luton, our network provides support and guidance to both staff and the young people we care for.

About The Role

This is a rewarding opportunity to lead a children’s home in St Albans, supporting up to five young people aged 15–18 with learning disabilities and autism. The home is a place where young people feel safe, valued, and supported to grow, build confidence, and develop independence.

You will lead a dedicated and caring team, working closely with young people, their families, and other professionals to ensure each individual’s needs are understood and met. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference, whether you are an experienced Registered Manager or a Deputy Manager ready to step up, as long as you meet Ofsted requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and supporting a motivated, caring team to deliver consistent, person-centred care
  • Managing the day-to-day running of the home and ensuring it remains a safe, welcoming, and structured environment for up to five young people
  • Ensuring the home meets Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes Quality Standards
  • Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, responding quickly and appropriately to any concerns
  • Developing care plans and working closely with families, carers, social workers, and other professionals to meet each young person’s needs
  • Monitoring progress, celebrating achievements, and creating opportunities for young people to develop independence and confidence
  • Maintaining clear records and reports to meet regulatory and company standards
  • Supporting staff development through coaching, supervision, and training
  • Fostering a positive, inclusive culture where both staff and young people feel valued, listened to, and supported

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting within the last 5 years
  • At least 6 months in a supervisory or management role, supporting and leading a team
  • Experience in an Ofsted regulated service
  • Understanding of Learning Disabilities and Autism
  • Willingness to complete all safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS
