Senior Game Designer
Help shape the long‑term player journey of Minecraft Blast!
We’re developing Minecraft Blast, a casual puzzle adventure set in a playful interpretation of the Minecraft universe, and we’re looking for a Senior Game Designer to help design the systems that shape how players progress, engage, and return to the game over time.
In this role, you will design and evolve core meta systems of the game, including player journeys, feature flows, and the connective systems that tie gameplay, rewards, and long‑term engagement together.
You will work across disciplines with creative leaders, product managers, data scientists, and fellow designers to ensure the meta layer provides players with clear goals, satisfying progression, and meaningful reasons to return and invest in the game over time.
We're looking for someone with a strong background in creating video games and a passion for designing compelling casual meta experiences. Mobile development comes with unique opportunities and constraints, requiring a balance of creativity, insight, and technical awareness. We want someone who embraces those challenges with enthusiasm and a desire to craft experiences that will delight millions of players around the world.

- Partner with Product Managers and Data Scientists to analyze player behavior and iterate on systems that improve engagement, retention, and progression pacing.
- Prototype and explore new meta gameplay ideas, helping expand the game’s design space and long‑term depth.
- Maintain high design quality, ensuring systems remain intuitive, scalable, and aligned with the game’s creative vision.
- Document and clearly communicate design intent, helping cross-disciplinary teams understand how meta systems work and how they support the player experience.
- Work with production to plan and deliver features, identifying risks early and supporting smooth implementation.
- Stay close to the market, analyzing puzzle and casual games to identify trends and inspiration in meta systems and progression design.
- Contribute to the studio’s design craft community, sharing learnings and supporting the growth of other designers.
