Our client is seeking a part time Journals Development Officer to support the development and management of a portfolio of peer reviewed academic journals. This role is offered on a part time basis (c. 2 days per week) and would suit someone with experience in scholarly or academic publishing who is interested in journal development and editorial strategy.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary: £32,345 (fulltime equivalent)

Role
- Supporting the development and day‑to‑day management of academic journals
- Working with editors, publishing partners and internal colleagues
- Contributing to journal development plans and performance monitoring
- Providing editorial and administrative support across peer review processes
- Helping improve journal visibility, engagement and best practice

About You
- Editorial experience in academic or scholarly publishing, with a solid understanding of journals publishing
- Confidence working with editors, editorial boards and academic stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and written communication
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment
- Experience in a research or higher education environment would be beneficial, in particular for a society, membership body or charity
