Lead community fundraising campaigns at The Hub @ Toothill, coordinate volunteer fundraisers, and help generate donations to bring our community project to life.

Your efforts will enable the completion of building works and the delivery of inclusive services, while empowering local residents to participate in events, activities, and volunteering. Through successful campaigns, you’ll help strengthen community pride and cohesion, mobilise support from donors, businesses, and local organisations, and secure the Hub’s long‑term sustainability — creating a lasting legacy of engagement, participation, and opportunity for generations in Toothill.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in fundraising, community organising, campaigning, or working in the charity/third sector (transferable skills welcome)
  • Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills, with a desire to develop leadership further
  • Ability to motivate, support, and manage volunteers effectively
  • Creative thinking and problem‑solving skills
  • Reliable, self‑motivated, and proactive
  • Interest in applying for small community grants (£100–£1,000) (Desirable)
  • Passionate about supporting a community‑led project and contributing to local impact

What will you be doing?

The Hub @ Toothill CIC is developing a vibrant community hub connecting people through arts, culture, learning, and tailored support. We are seeking a Lead Fundraising Officer to drive community fundraising initiatives, coordinate local campaigners, and develop creative ways to raise unrestricted income.

Role

You’ll lead community fundraising campaigns, coordinate volunteers, and help build relationships with donors, local businesses, and the wider community.

Responsibilities

  • Support crowdfunding campaigns and other community fundraising initiatives.
  • Coordinate and support local campaign supporters, providing guidance and motivation.
  • Develop creative ways to generate donations and community support.
  • Build relationships with donors, local businesses, and community members.
  • Track fundraising progress on our CRM and report on results.
