Overview
On behalf of our Client we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Area Sales Engineer/Area Sales Manager with a proven track record as a business developer and excellent salesman in the Electrical Control and Automation industry to join the team of this first class business.
Responsibilities
- Sell a range of high quality Industrial Automation products, i.e. PLC, Control Gear, Switchgear & Circuit Protection, Variable Speed Drives, Sensors, HMI and Process Instrumentation into the OEM, End User, System Integrator and Panel Builder markets throughout the South Tyneside/Teeside area, including Middlesbrough, Stockton on Tees, Darlington, Hartlepool, and South of the Tyne, Sunderland.
- Work to achieve defined sales targets and develop a personal plan to achieve objectives through managing and further developing an existing portfolio of accounts while constantly striving to identify new avenues of business.
- Be an effective team player while enjoying a level of autonomy.
Qualifications
- Already successful Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager, or Technical Salesperson.
- Sales and technical experience in the Industrial Automation industry with a record of sales success and achievement.
- Formal qualification in an Electrical/Electronic discipline to ONC/HND or above is desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge and sales ability in the Industrial Automation industry.
- Further career development training to enhance sales skills is preferred.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with capability in Microsoft packages.
