WE’RE HIRING: HGV Technician – Birmingham Airport (BHX) – £39,000 – £45,000 + Enhanced Overtime

Are you an experienced HGV, Plant, or GSE Technician looking for something a little different? We’re working with a specialist airside engineering team at Birmingham Airport, offering the opportunity to work on a varied fleet including HGVs, plant machinery, and ground support equipment (GSE) within a highly regulated airport environment. This is a role where safety, reliability, and precision are critical.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on HGVs, plant vehicles, and GSE
• Diagnosing faults and performing detailed technical investigations
• Working within a professional, safety‑critical airside workshop
• Ensuring all work is completed to high industry and compliance standards

Qualifications

• Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Proven experience working on HGV, plant, or GSE equipment
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
• Ability to pass 5‑year employment history checks (airport security requirement)
• HGV licence (desirable but not essential)
